Beginners to Advanced

We offer Ballet classes to boys and girls aged 3 years and upwards. It is a well-known fact that Ballet is the basis to all other forms of dance. Ballet teaches students about posture, musicality, confidence, expression and creativity. At the age of 6 years we begin to prepare our students for their first I.S.T.D Ballet Examination. These exams although encouraged are completely optional.

Age 6+

This class is suitable for boys and girls aged 6 years and above. The aim of the class is to educate students on the many styles of Jazz Dance. It is a fast moving, energetic class which teaches the technique of Jazz and Modern Theatre whilst exploring styles such as Lyrical Jazz, Musical Theatre Jazz and Commercial Jazz.  All of these Jazz styles can be seen on West End stages and music videos.
We also place a strong emphasis on developing choreographic skills in these lessons and students are given the opportunity to express and create their own ideas and movements.

Our Tap classes are suitable for girls and boys aged 6 years upwards. Tap dancing is very beneficial in developing rhythm and timing. Students begin to learn basic Tap steps and then develop these steps by following the I.S.T.D Tap syllabus. Age 10+

We offer Contemporary lessons to students aged 10 years and above. Contemporary is started from a slightly older age as we believe it is important for children to first learn the basics of Ballet and/or Jazz technique, which will then aid their development and understanding of Contemporary Dance. This class is broadly based around the I.S.T.D Contemporary Syllabus which was developed by the well-known dancer and choreographer Ross McKim. We are delighted to offer this wonderful syllabus to our students and currently are one of few schools in the country teaching this syllabus. The aim of the class is to develop student’s expression and creativity through improvisation and exploration of many different Contemporary dance techniques

Age 8+

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program developed for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory. This helps to improve students' understanding of core stability, weight placement, flexibility and alignment. This program in conjunction with your regular Ballet Class has been seen to show significant benefits and progress.
